Mohammed Kudus in action for Spurs during 1-0 win over Arsenal in Hong Kong friendly.Mohammed Kudus starred in Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Arsenal in Hong Kong, earning praise from Thomas Frank as “top class.”

HONG KONG — Thomas Frank didn’t hesitate when asked who stood out in Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Arsenal in Hong Kong. “Kudus was top class today,” he said bluntly, praising the Ghanaian midfielder’s performance in the heated North London Derby.

Despite the fixture being a pre-season clash, Kudus played with intensity and flair, turning heads with his creativity and pressing. Frank was clearly impressed: “His movement, his decision-making, his work rate off the ball — that’s the level you want from a top player.”

The match was decided by a clinical Spurs break, but Kudus was involved in much of what worked for Tottenham. “He played like he had a point to prove,” Frank added. “If he keeps this up, he’s going to be massive for them this season.”

The Arsenal side looked dangerous at times but couldn’t convert their chances, with Frank noting: “They had their moments, but Tottenham’s structure and Kudus’ energy made the difference.”
